PSV day with fiya laoshi

psv with me ^__^

today, i had a psv class in 3B. Not really controllable.
but quite ok lah. They are quite behaving except the part where i need to scream so loud at the end of the class so that they will clean the mess they made in the class yet they just stay still becoz they didnt understand a word i said plus its quite noisy plus its time for them to go home. =.="

its really frustrating because i have to make sure they go to the hall 5 minutes early before the exact time of class end. Meaning i dont have enough time to teach them properly.
However, since this school not really strict in term of what to be taught especially in minor subject like psv, i feel a bit relieve and its ok la to teach them. They are creative but some of them actually too smart where they ended up doing something creative but out of what i wanna teach them..haha..
i actually proud of them because even though i'm a malay teacher and they are chinese but i think they are better than the pupils that i used to teach in sk. They are more respectful.
Since today is valentine day ( but i'm not celebrating it)
i though maybe i could teach them how to do a valentine card for their parents.
Lots of their works are really beautiful and cute and i even told them to give that card to their
parents when they go home. So, i will give equal marks for them.
There are also some parts that i dont like during the class. Like for example some of the pupils didnt bring the things that i told them to bring yesterday for psv. Its really annoyed me because i clearly wrote it down on the blackboard yet they didnt bring it. And also some of them actually can do better but they are lazy and playing around with their friends and ignore me.. Just some of them. Not all.

So, i will show you some of their works. its really cool..to me.. =p

love everywhere.. ^__^

3rd day school

3rd week at school ^^"

since last week was CNY, so there is nothing i actually did that time. most of the time helping my mom, going out and sleeping (to cover the sleepless days before =p).
i'm teaching afternoon session and i'm the only Malay teacher teaching level 1. im also surprised myself when i knew about it but there was nothing i could do than accepted the fact..huu..
i dont mind actually being the only Malay because i have a few non Muslims friends in the afternoon session and they are very nice but the major problem that im soooo afraid of is language barrier between me and the pupils. Like my housemate said (she is a BM teacher and had been teaching class 80% are chinese) the chinese pupils adore and respect those who can speak mandarin. OMG! I actually need to learn mandarin as soon as possible but when???huhu..the timetable was very hectic. even to eat and to pray i have to steal time and rush. And the result of it was pain, body ache, stomachache and etc.. =.=
the first day was really tiring. i was like, i need to breath...fuh..fuh..fuh..seriously! i have to rush all over the place. The school was sooo big and my classess were like one in the north part while another in the south and you have no idea how it felt to be walking around with high heel and heavy bags. Second day it was more relax than the first day but still lots of things need to be done. Luckily i have one chinese assistant. She is a new teacher and she will help me for a month. thank god =)
third day will be today. I hope everything will be ok and i can breath calmly.
and hey im not complaining about the school or the system there..I have lots of fun and most of the people there are very nice and friendly and helpful.. This mumbling2 up there were just my feelings about my days. (err..maybe almost or slightly the same la) hee..
i just hope that i can handle the pupils this time. huu..

chow, gtg now..

bye bye diary~

helloooo scholll!!

1st week in Chinese school

1st week is awesome!!

My life as a new teacher in sjk (c) T is already started on 16 Jan 2012. Early in the morning around 7 a.m i had to register at the hotel and went up to level 4 for a briefing regarding our posting. We were arranged according to the school. There were 6 new teachers including me and 4 more to come the next day. The GPK was really friendly and nice. After briefing, we were convoying the GPK to the school. It was a long journey from the hotel to the school. Luckily we were able to reach there safely and on time. Then we met the GB. My first thought of him was he might be very strict and unfriendly kind of GB. Gladly to say, he was the funniest and friendly GB i ever met. He made jokes and treated us very nicely. We were briefed about our condition there and his expectations (which i rather called it hopes) towards us. Then, we continued our journey as teachers there. The first week was our orientation week. We didnt start our teaching yet but we were assigned to do some report and familiarized ourselves with the cultures of the school. Little by little, we were welcomed there. It was awkward at the beginning as there were only 13 Malays teachers and 100 something Chinese teachers. But after a while, i felt so comfortable as the teachers there were very friendly and cooperative. Soooo different with the previous school i went to.

Now i will talk about my tasks there. As i had mentioned in my first post, i was assigned to become BM, ART and PJ teacher for year 2 and 3. I was not-really-in-a-glad-mood the first time i knew about it because i'm a TESL option. Not BM or PJ. Art was still acceptable since i took Art as my minor subject. However, after i had attended the meeting and met the BM's teachers for a guidance, i felt a bit eased. I want to take it as a challenge (even tho there are too many challenge i need to face ^^"). But never mind. As a teacher, i need to prepare myself with unexpected situations like this. So, i will make the best out of it. Find the beauty in every pain in the a** (my fav quote of this year =p).

Now the orientation week ended. We have a Chinese New Year holiday for a week (yippy!!!) and now i'm enjoying my holiday before i crack my brain the next week (starting my teaching). I do hope i can be a good teacher and i will be able to communicate with them by heart. I also hope that they will like me like i love them as my keai pupils. For now, lets enjoy our holiday..yeahhh!!! ^___^"

p/s: to all my chinese friends and those who celebrate Chinese New Year, Gong Xi Fa Cai!!! May you all bless with Ong~ ^__^
